For those who wish accommodation in something very special and out of the ordinary take a look at Omer's Houses. Omer's Houses enjoy a convenient location on the edge of Dalyan, just a ten-minute walk from the village centre and the little marina where you can catch one of the river boats down to Iztuzu Beach. Yet the moment you pass through the gates in the tall stone walls that encircle these unusual houses, you feel as though you have entered a walled oasis of peace and serenity, harmony and creativity.
For Omer, who built the houses himself, is more of an artist than a developer, and the wonderfully quirky design of the houses is testament to his inspired imagination. It took him years to complete his project and his labour of love has resulted in most charming accommodation, and a nomination for a prestigious European design award - the Aga Khan Award for Architecture. There are three seperate dwellings contained within the lavish garden, each with its own individual character. As Omer lives in a small cottage discreetly tucked into a corner of the property, he is always on hand to look after the properties and tend to the lovely grounds.
